Healing happens when we are truly seen, heard and accepted

Meet Sara

Sara Cannuli, CMHC, CHC, CLC, MS,

I believe that healing happens when people feel truly seen, heard, and accepted. My goal is to create a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where clients can explore life's challenges, build resilience, and create meaningful, lasting change.

I earned my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a focus in substance misuse from Southern New Hampshire University. I have over eight years of experience working with children, youth and adults from diverse backgrounds. My approach is collaborative, trauma-informed, and individualized, drawing from evidence-based modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and person-centered therapy. I also enjoy incorporating mindfulness and practical coping strategies to help clients feel empowered both in and outside of sessions. I hold a dual certification in health and life coaching.

I have experience supporting individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, life transitions, grief, relationship concerns, marital conflict, self-esteem, stress, emotional regulation, and women's issues. I believe there is no "one-size-fits-all" approach to therapy, and I work with each client to develop a treatment plan that reflects their unique strengths, values, and goals.

As someone who values authenticity, empathy, and genuine connection, I strive to help clients not only navigate difficult seasons but also discover hope, confidence, and a greater sense of purpose. It is a privilege and an honor to walk alongside people as they work toward healing and becoming the healthiest version of themselves.

Outside of the therapy office, I find enjoyment spending time with my family, fishing, staying active outdoors, and finding opportunities to continue learning and growing both personally and professionally.
